After humble beginnings Adelaide Leather & Saddlery Supplies commenced business in 1997 in a small 100 square metre shop in Sturt Street Adelaide. It was a one man show with me Wayne running the business with a lot of help from my wife Meredith who was also working elsewhere full time. We supplied all types of leather, saddlery hardware and craft tools, dyes, webbings, canvases and all associated products to saddlers, shoe repairers, rug repairers, home handymen, canvas workers and leather craft enthusiasts.
After 10 years we had outgrown Sturt Street and moved to a shop come warehouse in Waymouth Street Adelaide twice the size (some say still not big enough) which is where we are still today. Six years ago Meredith joined full time and over the last 3-4 years we have added a couple more staff members who now do the day to day running of the business. Caroline runs the front of the shop and we now have Jeffrey our saddler (with 40 years experience) working in a small workshop out the back as well as assisting with sales and giving advice to our customers when asked. We have prided ourselves on our customer service and timely delivery of goods and good communication if products are out of stock or there is a problem with the orders. We have a shop front and also this online store that has been recently redeveloped and updated.
